This past weekend was the successful completion of the 2nd Kokomo Wings & Wheels Airshow! Again, a HUGE thank you to those of you who made this possible. The ground crew, the air crew, the safety crew, the planners, the fuelers, the organizers, the signs/documents creators, the hard-working-manual laborers, the donators of time and money and sweat and golf carts and planes and supplies and space. Without all of you, and there are a LOT of you, none of this would be remotely possible, and many of you did it right on top of our Sheridan show last weekend. A truly heartfelt thank you from all of us to all of you underpaid underthanked overworked volunteers, and a heartfelt thank you to the folks who came out to see the show this weekend as well! We hope you enjoyed your time out on a beautiful day at Kokomo Municipal Airport, and hope to see you back out next year! | The B-17 Visits Kokomo! | 7/8/2010 |
July 5-8th we had the B-17 Bomber on display at Kokomo Municipal Airport, providing tours and rides. Their stay has ended, and they flew off to their next stop of Champaign, IL Thursday morning, along with six local pilots and aviation enthusiasts. We look forward to having the bomber back next year! | |
| CHECK SCHEDULE FOR AIRPLANE LOCATION | 2/5/2009 |
Because we share airplanes between airports, sometimes we find it easier to just leave the airplane at one of our satellite locations instead of bringing it back to its home airport right away. When this happens, a pop-up screen will appear when you schedule the airplane. The pop-up message will tell you where the airplane is currently (if not the home airport) and when it will return. Give the gift of flight! Our Discovery Flights last approximately 20 minutes. You can either "fly" the airplane with the help of one of our Certified Flight Instructors, or you can just sit and enjoy the ride! | |
